The overall aim of the service is providing a wide range of educational and training programs for young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and their families. The specific purpose of this post is to provide education and residential care to all students; meeting the specific and often complex needs.
We are seeking committed people who will come with a positive attitude and can empathise with the challenges the people we support may face. We are seeking someone who is motivated and able to think outside the box to support the individuals to achieve their goals in life.
The role will require successful applicants to support with all day to day aspects such as finances, medication administration, personal care, support with cooking and household chores.
Due to the needs of the people supported training in positive behaviour management will be provided
- Ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our clients through their person-centered care plans to achieve and exceed potential
Promote the right values and attitudes towards people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and behaviours described as challenging
Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each service user.
Complete records and documentation of progress, incidents and activities.
Promote and uphold the privacy, rights, dignity, health and wellbeing of the individuals.
General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care to help Service Users.
- Previous experience of working in the care or education sector is preferential.
